Ilya’s law practice is focused on civil litigation. Ilya represents individuals and corporations in civil cases and commercial disputes, including with respect to employment, disability, and personal injury. He has taken a number of matters to judgment. Ilya graduated from McGill University’s Faculty of Law in 2010, where he was awarded the I. Ballon Memorial Medal.
Joshua D. Hemmings was called to the bar in 2015 and joined Landy Marr Kats LLP after articling in the Toronto Financial District. Joshua currently practices in the areas of civil litigation, corporate/commercial litigation, real estate litigation, construction litigation, debtor & creditor litigation, business disputes, academic & professional misconduct, and appeals.

Matthew has a broad litigation practice, and acts for individuals and businesses in civil and commercial litigation. His areas of practice consist of employment matters such as wrongful dismissals and terminations, real estate litigation, commercial tenancy disputes, contractual disputes, construction law, shareholder disputes, professional negligence claims, and personal injury.
Nicole has a broad litigation practice, with a focus on civil and commercial litigation. Nicole’s areas of practice include employment terminations and wrongful dismissals, real-estate property disputes, mortgage enforcement, construction law, contractual disputes, and personal injury. Nicole completed her J.D. at the University of Ottawa and was called to the Ontario Bar in April of 2022. While at law school, Nicole was a mentor in the Women’s Legal Mentorship Program.
Natalie joined the firm as an articling student in 2022 after completing her JD at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. At the Faculty, she has volunteered with organizations such as Law and Action Within Schools, Pro Bono Students Canada, the Journal of Law and Equity, and the Asper’s Centre. She has also participated in drafting a textbook manuscript on risk management during pandemics.
Keith M. Landy was the senior and founding partner of the Toronto law firm Landy Marr Kats LLP. He was certified as a specialist in civil litigation by the Law Society of Upper Canada and in 2007 was admitted as a member of the Law Society of the Northwest Territories.
Samuel S. Marr has retired from Landy Marr Kats LLP. Mr. Marr is well respected in his professional practice and handled a diverse range of litigation cases with extensive experience in insurance and disability claims, personal injuries actions, class actions, real estate litigation, wrongful dismissal actions, mortgage enforcement, condominium litigation, construction lien and Commercial Tenancy disputes.
