Kate Barretto
Kate Barretto has experience working on a diverse range of litigation matters with a focus on personal injury litigation and class actions. Kate’s personal injury practice includes motor vehicle accidents, Catastrophic injuries, slip and fall accidents, brain injuries, dog bites, bike accidents, CPP and long term disability denials, and various disputes with insurance companies. She has acted as counsel before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Licence Appeal Tribunal, Small Claims Court as well as various appellate courts including the Ontario Court of Appeal and Ontario Divisional Court.
Kate’s down to earth approach helps her obtain the best results tailored to the individual needs of her clients. Kate prides herself on her ability to help her clients understand and navigate the insurance and litigation processes.
Kate attended law school at the University of Kent where she was an active member of the student community. While at Kent Kate volunteered with the Kent Legal Clinic assisting clients with a range of legal matters.
Kate has incorporated her commitment to volunteer work into her busy practice volunteering regularly with the ProBono Ontario Free Legal Advice Hotline.
When she’s not working Kate enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
